Dr. B.D. Tiner will be the featured speaker at the 6th Annual Dr. Phillip Earle Williams Lectureship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery scheduled for Jan. 24, 2004, in Dallas. The day-long symposium will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast in Baylor University Medical Center's Beasley Auditorium, which is adjacent to BCD. Tiner, a nationally recognized oral and maxillofacial surgeon, will speak on "Advances in Diagnosis and Treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea."

Finnell, Ph.D., is co-organizer of the Third International Conference on Neural Tube Defects, to be held September 27-30, 2003, at the Seabrook Conference Resort at Seabrook Island, South Carolina.
Robert D. Wells, Ph.D., became the 88th President of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) on July 1. Dr. Wells is the Director of the Center for Genome Research at the Institute of Biosciences and Technology, Texas A&M University System Health Science Center.
