Convocation allows us to take a look back at the great accomplishments the Texas A&M Health Science Center has made over the past two years as well as extend our vision for the future.

This year’s convocation also coincides with Dr. Dickey’s 10th anniversary as president of the TAMHSC. In honor and recognition of her leadership, we are establishing the Nancy W. Dickey, M.D. Endowed Scholarship. Individual gifts and profits from the gala will fund this endowed scholarship.

Convocation is primarily an opportunity to acknowledge contributions of our outstanding students, faculty and staff. The success and growth of the TAMHSC is truly a team effort, and convocation is our chance to celebrate our accomplishments!

Meanwhile, we’re excited to say that the TAMHSC will once again be represented at the Texas Reds Steak & Grape Festival in downtown Bryan at the old Palace Theater. We will have booths on site to distribute information about the many programs and services offered at the health science center and by Texas A&M Physicians.

With an anticipated crowd of more than 30,000 people walking through the streets of downtown Bryan, this is a great opportunity for us to spread the word about the exciting things happening at the TAMHSC.
