Dentistry students hold Oral Cancer Walk

DALLAS — The Student National Dental Association chapter at Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry will lead Dallas’ second annual Oral Cancer Walk on May 1 to raise awareness of a disease that kills more than 7,000 Americans each year.

The walk will be held at Concord Baptist Church.  Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the two-mile walk will start at 10:30 a.m.

Free oral cancer screenings and sealants (protective tooth coating) for children will be available at sites along the walk route.

The first 20 registered walkers will receive free Oral Cancer Walk T-shirts.  For more information and to obtain registration and donation forms, go to http://www.oralcancer.org/events/current_events.htm and scroll down to the Dallas Oral Cancer Walk section.
