Giroir named executive vice president and CEO

Brett P. Giroir, M.D., named executive vice president and CEO of Texas A&M Health Science Center.

Brett P. Giroir, M.D., was named executive vice president and CEO of Texas A&M Health Science Center during a telephonic meeting of The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents Monday, Feb. 17, upon the recommendation of Texas A&M Interim President Mark A. Hussey.

Giroir assumed the position on an interim basis in October, having previously served as vice chancellor for strategic initiatives with the Texas A&M System and holding multiple leadership positions within the U.S. government prior to that.
