Kash named editor of Journal of Healthcare Management

Bita A. Kash, PhD, MBA, FACHE, associate professor at the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Public Health, has been named Editor of the Journal of Healthcare Management, a peer-reviewed journal of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Kash has been a longtime member and Fellow of ACHE and has previously been published in the journal and served on the editorial board.

Kash also serves as the director of the Center for Health Organization Transformation (CHOT), an industry-university cooperative research center funded by the National Science Foundation and health organizations. CHOT conducts research supporting major management, clinical, and information technology innovations in healthcare.

Her research interests include organizational capacity for change and transformation, nursing home staffing and cost, and healthcare strategic planning and marketing. Her most recent research projects focus on examining elements of integrated primary provider networks as potential sources of competitive advantage using resource based theory.
