As baby boomers are reaching their golden years, they face changes in their oral health. A new online resource is now available with oral health-related topics specific to their age group.

Get MouthPower, a new free interactive website, provides an informative and entertaining look at the unique oral health issues of older adults. Created by the National Museum of Dentistry with the support of Colgate-Palmolive, the website includes comprehensive oral health information to help seniors age 50 and older maintain a healthy, special smile at any age.

“Today people are living longer and keeping their natural teeth, so it’s important that they become more aware of their health needs and the importance of maintaining dental health,” says Dr. Charles Wakefield, professor and director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program at the Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry. “This site empowers older adults with helpful advice for taking charge of their oral health.”
