Nobles new director of research compliance

(COLLEGE STATION, TX) – Robert Nobles, Dr.PH., M.P.H., has joined the Texas A&M Health Science Center Office of Research as director of research compliance.

Dr. Nobles will be primarily responsible for overseeing all health science center research compliance activities related to animal welfare, human subjects research, biosafety, conflicts of interest, export control, responsible conduct of research and good laboratory practice.

Prior to the TAMHSC, Dr. Nobles was director of the Office of Research Compliance, Education, and Integrity at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, located in the Texas Medical Center. He was responsible for the mitigation of research compliance risk and the promotion of regulatory compliance and ethics, all within a collaborative and effective compliance division.

Dr. Nobles completed his Doctor of Public Health at UT-Houston with a primary focus on health services research, epidemiology and health economics. His Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology were both awarded from Florida A&M University.

Dr. Nobles is an avid educator and has taught on the collegiate level for the past decade in the areas of environmental biology, anatomy and physiology, health care administration, health policy, health care finance, and ethics.
