Ogden appointed interim dean of College of Medicine

Paul Ogden, M.D., F.A.C.P., has been appointed interim dean of the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.

Dr. Paul Ogden, M.D., has been named Interim Dean of the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine, effective July 1. Dr. Ogden previously served as the college’s Vice Dean of Academic Affairs and as the Regional Chair of Internal Medicine for the multi-campus medical school’s Bryan-College Station campus.

Board-certified in Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Ogden completed his M.D. as part of Texas A&M’s charter medical school class in 1981. Following his graduation and residency training, in more than two decades of service Dr. Ogden has served the college’s faculty and students by directing efforts in a wide variety of residency, undergraduate medical education, and faculty and curricular development programs.

Dr. Ogden replaces outgoing dean Dr. T. Samuel Shomaker, who will remain on staff as a special assistant to the interim president of the Texas A&M Health Science Center, E.J. Pederson.
