The President’s Circle funds allow the health science center to meet gaps in state funding and to fund unanticipated opportunities as they arise, such as employing an internationally renowned scientist, creating a new academic program or securing a world-class lecturer. In addition, gifts to the President’s Circle also provide vital discretionary dollars to fund student scholarships, emergency funds for students in financial crisis, faculty development and other related expenses of the Office of the President.

The President’s Circle has brought in approximately $53,000 in gifts and pledges this fiscal year to date. The HSC is extremely pleased with the support received to this point.

“Developing a culture of philanthropy among alumni, friends and faculty is paramount to the success of the Texas A&M Health Center, especially in times like we are facing now,” said Dr. Russ Gibbs, vice president for Institutional Advancement. “Having the discretionary funds available to take advantage of timely opportunities as they arise is vital to our ability to provide superior academic and scientific programs. We are extremely grateful to the alumni, faculty and friends who have contributed to the President’s Circle annual fund to this point.”

The President’s Circle annual fund campaign helps to advance the objectives of the HSC, which are to provide superior science, exceptional education and compassionate care for the benefit of local communities across Texas and beyond.
