Regents to hold public hearing regarding proposed increases in designated tuition

(COLLEGE STATION, TX) — As required by Texas Education Code, Section 54.0513(f) and Section 54.507(e), the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System will hold public hearings to receive input from students and the public regarding the proposed increases in Designated Tuition, Group Hospital & Medical Services Fees, and Recreational Sports Fees for The Texas A&M University System’s academic institutions and the Texas A&M Health Science Center, to be effective with the fall 2009 semester.

These hearings for students and the public to provide input to the Board of Regents will be scheduled during the May 21-22, 2009, board meeting, Memorial Student Center, Room 292, Joe Routt Boulevard, Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas.

The schedule for the board meeting is posted to the board website. As required by System policy, hearings have already been held on each campus regarding increases in designated tuition.
