Research on display in a big way! The School of Pharmacy hosted its first research symposium in College Station. The event featured a poster presentation competition with abstracts from undergrads, PharmD students, PhD students, residents, post-docs, research scientists and faculty. A few highlights from disaster day that showcase our pharmacy students in action alongside their peers from other disciplines! Disaster day is an annual mass disaster response simulation. It challenged interprofessional teams of students to work collaboratively to provide a high level of patient care in an emergency. This year they simulated a hurricane response effort where they diagnosed, treated and cared for “patients” played by trained volunteers. #IPE
Aggies in the Capitol! This week, students and faculty represented the School of Pharmacy in Texas Pharmacy Day at the Capitol in Austin. The group began with a legislative briefing in the Capitol auditorium, and participated in day long activities in promoting and advancing the profession.
