SRPH Golfers Notch Tournament Wins

Winners of the First (soon-to-be) Annual School of Rural Public Health Golf Tournament
The Texas A&M University System Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health held its first golf tournament Monday, May 17, at Pebble Creek Country Club. The funds raised will support activities such as student travel to seminars, conferences, or field work; student scholarship support; and student awards and honors at graduation. The golf tournament is the first official SRPH fundraiser and will be an annual event.
Winners of the tournament are as follows:
Longest Drive: John Harvey Slocum
Closest to the Pin: Brad Ballard
A FLIGHT:
1st place – Brian Linder, Dan Daniels, Steve Harper, John Harvey Slocum
2nd place – Jim Carroll, Jene Tebeaux, Barry Nelson, Jerry Lawson
3rd place – Kim Landry, Brian Perry, Mike Stoll, Mark Bayliss
B FLIGHT:
1st place – Rolf Larsen, Brad Ballard, John Green, Jim Robinson
2nd place – Bobby Williamson, Sam Urso, Bill McGuire, Scott Hennigar
3rd place – Fred Bayliss, Casey Oldham, Chet Hanks, Jeff Paradowski

The Texas A&M University System Health Science Center provides the state with health education, outreach and research. Its five components located in communities throughout Texas are Baylor College of Dentistry, the College of Medicine, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, the Institute of Biosciences and Technology and the School of Rural Public Health.
