Students Place in Research Competition

Heather Clark, M.S.P.H.

Heather Clark, M.S.P.H., a doctoral student at the Texas A&M Health Science Center (TAMHSC) School of Rural Public Health, placed third in the senior graduate poster competition during the 16th Annual Student Research Symposium sponsored by the TAMHSC-College of Medicine Graduate Student Organization. Megan Morales, a master of science in public health 2011 candidate, placed 3rd in the junior graduate poster competition.

The title of Ms. Clark’s poster was “Using Network Analysis in the Evaluation of Community Partnership Building: An Overview.”  Additional authors include Monica Wendel, Ph.D., Dr. C.W. Outley, and Ms. Brandy Kelly.  Ms. Clark currently serves as evaluation manager of the Center for Community Health Development located at the TAMHSC-School of Rural Public Health.

Megan Morales

“Dynamic Classroom Environment: Reducing Childhood Obesity” was the title of Ms. Morales’ poster.  Additional authors include Parker Jones and Alexandra Mancuso.

A total of 59 students from across the TAMHSC participated in the competition.
