The Center for Translational Environmental Health Research (CTEHR), headquartered at the Texas A&M Health Science Center Institute for Biosciences and Technology in Houston, has awarded its first five pilot program grants.
Researchers at the Texas A&M Health Science Center Institute of Biosciences and Technology, with collaborators from across Texas A&M and the Texas Medical Center, are looking to provide solutions to environmental disease with the creation of an unprecedented, cross-institutional initiative known as the Center for Translational Environmental Health Research (CTEHR).
Bernard Appiah, M.S., was recently awarded a $45,000 grant from the Wellcome Trust’s International Engagement Awards Committee for a public engagement project regarding promoting environmental health reporting in Sub-Saharan Africa.
