Dickey elected to board

(COLLEGE STATION, TX) – Nancy W. Dickey, M.D., President of the Texas A&M Health Science Center and Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs for The Texas A&M University System, recently was elected to the 2009 Board of Directors of The Academy of Medicine, Engineering and Science of Texas (TAMEST).

TAMEST was founded in 2004 to provide broader recognition of the state’s top achievers in medicine, engineering and science and to build a stronger identity for Texas as an important destination and center of achievement in these fields. It includes Texas Nobel Laureates and more than 200 National Academy members.

The Texas A&M Health Science Center is one of 14 TAMEST member institutions, as is Texas A&M University.

Dr. Dickey’s three-year term on the 15-20-member board begins in January.
