Three faculty members inducted into ADME

Earnest, Kelt and Little newest members of College of Medicine’s Academy of Distinguished Medical Educators

David J. Earnest, PhD, Sidney Kelt, MD, and Danny C. Little, MD, were inducted into the Texas A&M University College of Medicine Academy of Distinguished Medical Educators (ADME).

Earnest is a professor in the Department of Neuroscience and Experimental Therapeutics at the College of Medicine’s Bryan campus. He also serves as an executive member of Texas A&M’s Center for Biological Clocks Research and is a member of Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience.

Kelt is an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Medical Education at the College of Medicine’s Dallas campus. He serves as the psychiatry clerkship director at the College of Medicine and is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Baylor University Medical Center.

Little is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Medical Education at the College of Medicine’s Temple campus. He is also a pediatric surgeon at Baylor Scott & White Hospital.

The ADME is made up of faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship throughout their careers. The academy is committed to promoting excellence in medical education at the College of Medicine by:

  • Supporting teaching excellence through coaching and mentorship
  • Developing and delivering faculty development workshops
  • Advancing curriculum and instruction through promoting innovative practices
  • Facilitating educational research and scholarship
