Whoop! Congratulations to our Department of Medical Physiology members at #TAMUMedicine for their study being highlighted in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology!

In their study, researchers examined the structure of lymphatic cells and their response to acute kidney injury (AKI). The lymphatic cells in the kidneys are vital in regulating kidney disease progression; understanding their gene expression is a way to understand a patient's progression to kidney disease. We are so proud of you, and congratulations!

Congratulations to Michael J. Soileau, MD, for serving as this year's president of the Texas Neurological Society, the nation's largest state neurological society! Dr. Soileau is a Clerkship Director of the Neurology Clerkship in Round Rock at #TAMUMedicine. Dr. Soileau attended the Texas Neurological Society 2024 Annual Winter Conference in Austin, the largest state neurological society in the nation!

Texas A&M offers the first-ever neurology clerkship at all five campuses, something #TAMUMEdicine believes will prepare students adequately for neurological cases in the chosen specialty. This program allows students to learn and gain a new appreciation for neurology!
