The Big Health Event was organized by nursing students.

Students from the Texas A&M University School of Nursing are hosting the Big Health Event Saturday at Sue Haswell Park in Bryan. The free health fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Students and volunteers from Texas A&M Health will provide health screenings, health education, medication reviews and more. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a list of their current medications. The first 100 participants will receive complimentary gift bags.

Modeled after the Texas A&M student government organization the Big Event, the Big Health Event similarly provides students an opportunity to positively impact the Bryan-College Station community. The Big Health Event was founded by students to connect their community to health resources.

Community organizations like the Brazos Valley Foodbank and Brazos Transit Center will also be on hand to share information about their services.
