By Russ Gibbs, D.Min., CFRE, Vice President for Institutional Advancement

The Texas A&M Health Science Center (TAMHSC) has recently rolled out its new online community, a complement to the current TAMHSC website that offers greater connectivity to friends, donors and alumni of the institution.

Alumni will enjoy a more enhanced online experience by registering for an online account. Upon registration, alumni can obtain their own “email for life” email address. This email address is a permanent email forwarding address and will keep them connected to the TAMHSC and their classmates.

Registered users will have access to directories, profile updates, discussion groups and more as options for the website expand.

In addition, friends and donors will find many features to enhance their relationship with the TAMHSC. Donors will find a simplified donation process specific to their area of interest. Friends will be able to learn more about upcoming galas, golf tournaments, tailgating events, class reunions, Mini-Med School and other college-specific events, as well as register for these events online.

As the site grows, the colleges will look to add other social media links to sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

The website will be continually evolving as more options and functionality is added in the future. For now, the Texas A&M Health Science Center hopes to grow the online community with our friends, donors and alumni in striving to achieve our vision of providing “compassionate care, superior science and exceptional health education.”
